The City of Casper removes snow from city owned, essential pathways and sidewalks, and city facility parking lots Monday through Friday 4 am to 4:30 pm when needed

 

Parking lot and sidewalk snow removal occurs at three different levels.
 

Level

 Level 1

 Less than 2 inches of snow

 Plow trucks and equipment are dispatched to disperse de-icers and clear essential parking lots.  Essential sidewalks and pathways are cleared and de-iced if needed.

 Level 2

 2 or more inches of snow

 Plow trucks, graders, and loaders are dispatched to disperse de-icers and clear essential parking lots.  Snow in essential parking lots is stockpiled in designated areas.  Snow may be hauled away when special events are scheduled at city facilities.  Essential sidewalks and pathways are cleared and de-iced.

 Level 3

 Multiple snow events without melting

 Plow trucks, graders, and loaders are dispatched to disperse de-icers and clear essential parking lots. Snow in essential parking lots is stockpiled in designated areas. Snow will be hauled away from designated stockpile areas at city facilities when haulers become available. Essential sidewalks and pathways are cleared and de-iced.
